Dr.Heung-Yeung (Harry) Shum is Executive Vice President of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Research group at Microsoft Corporation. He is responsible for driving the company’s overall Artificial Intelligence strategy and forward-looking research and development efforts spanning infrastructure, services, apps and agents.

Shum was born in China in 1967. He grew up in Shanghai and he graduated with a BS from Southeast University in China, MS from Hong Kong. Shum came to the United States in 1991.
