Robert Downey Jr. wants to voice Jarvis, in an attempt to confuse Marvel fans all over the world. Rather than in a film though, Downey Jr. wants to voice Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s real life Jarvis A.I..
Mark Zuckerberg set himself a New Year’s goal to create an AI assistant to control his house and he explained:
“My personal challenge for 2016 is to build a simple AI to run my home and help me with my work. You can think of it kind of like Jarvis in Iron Man. I’m going to start by exploring what technology is already out there. Then I’ll start teaching it to understand my voice to control everything in our home — music, lights, temperature and so on.”
And now that it’s almost ready.. Zuckerberg needs a voice for this AI assistant. He is is looking for a volunteer for this mission. He asked for a volunteer on Facebook.
“it’s time to give my AI JARVIS a voice. Who should I ask to do it?”
Iron Man volunteered to voice Zuckerberg’s JARVIS assistant.
“I’ll do in a heartbeat if Bettany gets paid and donates it to a cause of Cumberbatch’s choosing…that’s the right kind of STRANGE!”
Zuckerberg responded:
“This just got real.”
